Without a pillow a bed is not a bed - at least for most people it is as much a part of the bedding as the air we breathe. Apart from the “comfort factor”, the most important requirement of a pillow is that it optimally supports the neck area during sleep. There is a large selection of pillows made of different materials with different fillings in various variations available on the market. For the layperson, it is often too large to reliably find the pillow that allows the most comfortable and ergonomically optimal lying position.

Speed: A rice cooker can be a real lifesaver if you try to get dinner together somehow after work. In the pot, cooking white rice takes an average of 18 minutes. A rice cooker needs at least 30 minutes - if the preparation takes too long, the quality is rather unimportant. We have therefore eliminated cookers that took more than an hour to produce a batch of white rice.

Non-stick cooking pot: A non-stick coating is standard on most rice cookers and makes it easier to clean, so you'll have fewer problems with sticky rice. Most rice cookers have a plastic inner pot, but we prefer a metal one as it will probably last longer.

The purpose of a pillow is to fill the space between the mattress and the head/neck in such a way that the cervical spine does not bend and the head is neither tilted up nor down when lying down. Depending on the sleeping position, both the shape of the cavity to be filled between the mattress and the head/neck area and the height of the required support vary. This allows you to remove some of the filling material or add more. Some supporting foam cushions also offer this possibility. Inside they then consist of several larger parts.

The basic lighting ensures clear orientation in the bedroom. But cosy is not the answer. Several small light sources have proven themselves for this purpose, which usually indirectly conjure up a cosy lighting atmosphere in the bedroom. An individual combination of floor lamps, bedside lamps, lava lamps, etc. is ideal. Gladly combined with (securely placed, we could fall asleep) candlelight.

Uniform cooking: The rice cooker should produce an even batch of airy rice, which means the grains at the edges and in the middle must have the same consistency. An unevenly boiled pot of rice, for example, has almost crispy edges and a muddy centre, or has poorly boiled grains on the top and completely soaked grains on the bottom.

In general, the smaller the bedroom, the lighter the wall colours should be. Dark bedrooms with only a small window should be painted with light colours. Pure white, light beige or yellow and light blue compensate for lack of sunlight and support a generous feeling of space.

If a mattress is always stressed in the same places, it will naturally yield more quickly there. This is why turning and flipping can noticeably extend the life of a mattress. Once a month is ideal. If you simply always combine turning with covering, it will not be forgotten. If the user perspires heavily or is allergic to house dust, more frequent cleaning may be advisable.

Basic lighting of any room is a bright light source that illuminates the whole room well. Usually this lamp hangs centrally on the ceiling. This is good for cleaning and tidying the bedroom. We also see better what we are wearing in the morning. Ideally, the basic lighting can be dimmed. Then it can also be “cosy”.
